Michelle and Warren really made their wedding a family affair, including all of their children in the bridal party. I loved photographing the relationships between Warren and his sons, and Michelle and her daughters, as they prepared for their big day. Capturing all of those little expressions and the hidden code that only family members understand.

The boys chose to get ready at a local hotel with what has got to be the world's hardest to find room (Warren told me later that even they had trouble finding it!).

After snapping the boys, I headed over to Michelle's home to capture some shots of her getting ready with her daughters. This beautiful leadlight bay window in their period home provided the perfect frame.

Michelle and Warren chose to get married at St Carthrage's Church in Parkville, a really intimate church for small weddings. This continued a really lovely family tradition as other family members had also married in this church.

Warren really wanted to have some classical architecture to feature in his photos, so we headed across town to Port Melbourne Town Hall for some shots nicely framed by these grand sandstone (I think) columns.

After photographing the bridal party, I love spending some time with my couple away from the chaos of the wedding day. It's a good time for them to reflect on the day, have a bit of fun with some photos and recharge before heading to the reception.

Seeing the sun setting over Port Philip Bay is one of my favourite things ever to do. There's just something about seeing that red-golden sun sink below the horizon, often quicker than you can count to twenty! And it makes the perfect location for a wedding reception at Encore St Kilda Beach. I also love love those string lights hanging from the ceiling.

Congratulations Michelle and Warren and thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your day. I wish you all the best for your future together!
